Convocatoria Ornamentación Textil
Homenaje Margaret Whyte
Fallo del jurado La propuesta seleccionada por el jurado es "TRAMAS COMUNICANTES, Anudando memorias" de las artistas Alejandra González Soca y Adriana Rostovsky.

Con esta convocatoria abordamos otro aspecto de la zona y nos afianzamos en el concepto memoria futura, evocando una característica del pasado del barrio, donde vivían y trabajaban familias y comerciantes vinculados al rubro textil. En la zona, durante décadas funcionaron fábricas de valijas, zapatos y paraguas, tiendas, botonerías y mercerías. Actualmente hay un importante número de comercios dedicados al sector que aún hoy ocupan un espacio destacado en nuestra sociedad. Desde el arte y el diseño textil proponemos generar una nueva impronta para la zona que vincule ambos tiempos de la vida del barrio. Con esta iniciativa rendimos homenaje a una relevante y querida artista uruguaya, una creadora sensible e inspiradora, Margaret Whyte. Con una ​ donación recibida por Lobster Confecciones ​de ​un stock de más de 500 kilos de retazos de tela limpia, ​las artistas Alejandra González Soca y Adriana Rostovsky comienzan a trabajar en su propuesta "Tramas comunicantes. Anudando memorias".​
